Charity

Jamuna Mishra says that the only religion he truly beliefs in is the Guruparampara: This is the Teacher- Student-relationship. If you are truly a student of Guruji he cares about you as for his own children. In fact you become one of his children. As I am a Student of Mishraji since many years, I know we are his family; he worries about us when we are in trouble. He helps wherever and whenever he can.

One of his students asked him once, what his meaning of life was. Guruji answered straight away: "Humanity".

For Guruji spirituality is the only road to salvation. Of course you can only live a spiritual life when your basic needs are covered.

Jamuna Mishras work

Since many years Jamuna Mishra is financing the possibility of school attendance for poor children. He has been founding schools in the villages of Ragoli and Khajuraho. In 2005 some of Gurujis indian students founded the organisation of "yog guru jamuna mishra manaw kalyan samiti" (yog guru Jamuna Mishra human welfare society). Today this organisation is administrating these projects. They finance medical support for poor people, e.g. are getting doctors into villages, provide possibilities for eye-operations.

They were delivering food to flooded areas in Madhya Pradesh. They financed help after the Tsunami catastrophe in 2004. They are running projects for widows in some villages. Those are examples of their work. By now the "yog guru jamuna mishra manaw kalyan samiti" organisation has about 5000 members.

Plans for the future

Guruji is planning to build an ashram with attached orphanage and school in Khajuraho. The land is already his, but the building license is likely to be provided for 5-star-hotels...

As Jamuna Mishra says: "Everything becomes more expensive in India, just live is cheap". For that reason there will always be more need then helping hands in this world.
